In the Toronto & GTA region it covers all 5. The same card also works at 3 casinos in Hamilton, Niagara & Brant and at 4 in Eastern Ontario.

Joining is possible at the Guest Services desk here or online through greatcanadian.com. Applicants must be 19 or older and not banned from a Great Canadian Rewards destination or self-excluded. At the desk, a valid government-issued photo ID is enough to complete the application. The online route needs that ID plus a mobile phone with a camera, for a photo of the face.

The resort and its floor

Pickering Casino Resort is a casino resort in Pickering, run by Great Canadian Entertainment. Its official grand opening was April 26, 2023. The resort runs 24/7, but holiday hours are worth confirming on the casino's own site. On the same property are a 275-room hotel and The Arena, a 2,500-person live entertainment venue.

The gaming floor offers 2,200+ slot machines, 50+ electronic table games and 90+ table games. A poker room offers 18 tables: 2 private High Stakes rooms and 16 traditional ones. No Limit games run at stakes from 1/3 up to 10/20, with 25/50 on request. Omaha half-kill at 20/40 is offered as well, and the house takes a 10% rake, capped at $20.

Getting in

Pickering Casino Resort has its address on Durham Live Avenue, at number 888, in Pickering, ON L1W 0C1. Both the outdoor lot and the multi-level garage offer free parking. The Casino Shuttle needs a reservation and is 19+. Pickups are at Apple Markville Plaza, near Milliken GO Station and at Scarborough Town Centre.

Shuttles arrive at 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM and depart at 3:00, 5:00 and 7:15 PM. Visitors need to be 19+ and must show a valid, original government-issued photo ID together with a second photo ID. Under its code of conduct, the operator states "We ID under 30".
