Gateway Sarnia and its card

The card at Gateway Casinos Sarnia is My Club Rewards, the rewards card of the Gateway casinos in this guide. It works at 13 of the 30 casinos covered here. Beyond Sarnia, that means six more in Southwestern Ontario, all four in Northern Ontario and two in the Lake Simcoe & Georgian Bay region. No card in this guide works at casinos of two different operators.

Membership in My Club Rewards is free. A guest applies at the Guest Services desk on site and brings valid ID. The same card also works at Starlight Casino Point Edward, a separate Gateway casino in the same region.

Just off Highway 402, Gateway Casinos Sarnia operates as a casino within Hiawatha Horse Park. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited runs the casino. The casino opens daily, with posted hours from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Holiday hours can be confirmed on sarnia.gatewaycasinos.com, which is the casino's own website.

On the floor are 150 slot machines, with the Express Bar serving light meals, snacks and drinks. Hiawatha Horse Park & Entertainment Centre is the track, a harness track for Standardbreds at 1730 London Line, run by 405730 Ontario Ltd. After eight years away, slots came back to Hiawatha, and the official opening took place on January 30, 2020. In December 2025, OLG extended the Optional Slots at Racetracks Program, keeping the casino open beyond March 31, 2026.

Just off Highway 402, Gateway Casinos Sarnia stands at 1730 London Line, Sarnia, ON N7T 7H2, within Hiawatha Horse Park, and on-site parking is free. In Ontario, nobody under 19 may gamble in a casino, so this one admits guests aged 19 and up who show valid government-issued photo ID. Those aged 21 or under must also carry a second document showing their name. Valid ID is also what Guest Services asks for when a guest takes out My Club Rewards.
